JAMMU, Aug 11: Govt. Degree college, Majalta today organised a webinar on the theme ' India's Freedom struggle'. This webinar was organised under the auspices of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate the 75 anniversary of India's Freedom.
Prof. Kashab Sharma, Head, Department of History, Govt. Degree College, Bishnah was the key speaker at this event. The programme started with the welcome address delivered by Dr B.B Anand, Principal, GDC Majalta. He congratulated all the students, staff and resource person gathered virtually to celebrate India's Independence. To him, it is our moral duty to work hard and defend our freedom presented to us by our freedom fighters after great sacrifices.
On this occasion, Prof. Sharma started his lecture with the advent of various invaders in the 17th century to 1947 in a chronological order starting from the battle of Plassey.
Prof. Savita Rana, Department of Political Science coordinated the entire programme. |
