DIC Kathua organises Slogan Writing Competition on Covid Appropriate Behaviour

KATHUA, Aug 11: District Information Centre, Kathua in Collaboration with Government Degree College for Women oraganised an Intra-College Slogan Writing Competition at Auditorium Hall of the College.
The competition was held on twin themes of Covid Appropriate Behaviour and Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. In all 27 students of NSS, NCC and Red Ribbon Club of GDCW participated.
The competition began with a welcome address by Principal, Dr. Mohan Singh Pathania, who congratulated and appreciated the efforts of students for organizing such activity in the college. He hailed young students for showing interest in Slogan Writing Competition and expressed their feelings on the important topics of Covid Appropriate Behaviour and Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
He appreciated the Information Department for organising the competition and providing a platform to the students to express their feelings.
District Information Officer, Shruti Sharma, also threw light on the initiative of the Information Department to sensitise people about Covid Appropriate Behaviour. She congratulated the volunteers for their participation in the competition.
Program Officer, NSS Dr. Arun Dev Singh, encouraged and appreciated the students for their efforts who presented their ideas and thoughts by making slogans on Covid Appropriate Behaviour & Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav and threw light on the objectives of the program and its relevance in today's time. Winners and Participants were given Certificates of appreciation from the Information Department.
Prof. Ravinder Kaur, Prof. Pankaj Nandan and Dr. Babita Jamwal acted as jury.
Kamakshi Andotra was declared First, Neha Bharti second and Samriti was declared third, while Janvi Mahajan was given consolation prize by the Jury members.
The staff present on this occasion included Dr. Naresh, Prof, Som Raj, Prof Vijay , Prof. Barun , Prof. Pallavi , Prof. Naresh and Dr. Surekha.
