JKRCEEA delegation calls on CS, projects various demands

JAMMU, Aug 12: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Reserved Categories Electrical Engineers Association (JKRCEEA) met Chief Secretary (CS) in his office chamber at Srinagar and submitted a memorandum of various demands.
Led by Er Nazir Ahmad Chowdhary (President JKRCEEA) and Er Junaid Ahmad Mir (General Secretary JKRCEEA), the delegation brought into the notice of Chief Secretary Dr AK Mehta various problems being faced by Engineers and employees of PDD in general and reserved categories Engineers and employees in particular. As per JKRCEEA, Chief Secretary gave a patient hearing. He assured that all these problem faced by PDD Engineers and employees and especially reserved categories Engineers/employees who are facing problems because of non-implementation of Supreme Court stay order on DB judgment of High court of J&K which had quashed reservation in promotion clauses in reservation act of 2004. They said that Chief Secretary had assured that he will have special consideration on this issue. JKRCEEA also raised the demand of payment of salaries of PDD Engineers and employees through treasury system instead of grant in aid, as grant in aid can be stopped at any time, JKRCEEA said. Along with other issues JKRCEEA highlighted issues like ACP for Engineers, Regularization issues of Engineers, pay anomaly etc. & worthy Chief Secretary assured these demands will also be looked into favourably. Regarding pay anomalies matter of Junior Engineers JKRCEEA delegation was assured it will be taken up with the Principal Secretary PDD. JKRCEEA strongly demanded regularization of all Placed as In-charge and Adhoc Promoted Engineers strictly as per SRO, 8, 205 , 126 , 294 , 144, as applicable from time to time for regularization process with effect from Jan 1991 onwards. JKRCEEA appealed for speedy process of regularization of Engineers. It was also conveyed that most of the professional are given benefit of ACP but only PDD Engineers and employees are ignored due to unknown reasons. JKRCEEA has finally thanked worthy chief secretary for giving time slot out of his busy schedule & giving a patient hearing to JKRCEEA delegation.
