| Panthers releases first phase list | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 25: The Parliamentary Board of JKNPP in its meeting held under the chairmanship of Prof. Bhim Singh has decided to field candidates from three assembly constituencies in Kashmir, three in Poonch district and one in Kargil district, where polling is being held in the first phase scheduled for November 17, 2008.
Prof Singh announced the names of its party candidates at a press conference at party headquarters at Srinagar.
He said Mohammad Iqbal Jan. (presently under detention in Tehar Jail, Delhi) will be the party candidate from Bandipora, Mohammed Abbas Shah from Sonawari, Dr. Manzoor Ali Advocate from Kargil, Mumtaz Ahmed from Gurez in Kashmir valley.
He said that Tabbasum Choudhary will seek election on JKNPP ticket from Poonch Haveli, Sayed Jameel Shah from Surankot and Mohammed Tariq Khan Qadri from Mendhar, all in Jammu region. |
