Udhampur, Aug 14: Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur (UT of Jammu & Kashmir), Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India organized “Fit India Freedom run” as part of “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”.
More than 100 young people participated in the event which was flagged off by BDC Chairman Balwan Singh and ACR Udhampur Viqar Giri.
The run started from Government Higher Secondary School Garhi and the participants turned back from Flata, Udhampur. Prior to the run, COVID Testing of all the participants was done by the team of doctors. Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Viqar Giri lauded the role of Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur for organising such activities that bring youth to the mainstream. He extended full cooperation by the district administration in such nation building activities being organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur. The run was flagged off at 07:00 a.m by the guests including Sarpanch Pritpal Singh, Sarpanch Sushma Abrol,, Sarpanch Sushma Sharma, Sarpanch Shamsher Singh and Panch Dilip Sharma. Other eminent persons who graced the event were Dr. Atul Sharma, Dr. Arti Bhart (MO) HWC Garhi, SHO Rehmbal, Principal and staff members of GHSS Garhi. |
