| Commerce college students hold poster making competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 25: With a view to creating an awareness among the people about the deadly levels of growing pollution which present a serious health hazard, a slogan cum poster making competition was organized at the Govt. SPMR College of Commerce here today on the theme “Pollution-cum-Cracker free Diwali.” Thirty students participated in the competition and gave expression of their ideas through the medium of colourful posters and slogan. The function was followed by a peace march, flagged off by the Principal, around the campus. The students also took a pledge to make this world clean and green by putting an end to the abuse of environment. Principal on college Dr M.S. Baloria, Prof. Vijay Kotwal, Principal GGM Science College and Dr Sham Lal Gupta, Principal of the host college acted as adjudicators. Vishal Verma, Jehanzeb Syedan and Ramesh Kumar secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the poster making competition, whereas the 1st and 2nd prize in the slogan writing competition went to Prateek Malhotra and Rinchen Paldan respectively and the 3rd prize was shared by Sahil Gupta, Shashank Sharma and Nakul Saraf. |
