| AMWS to hold elections for mohalla society today | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 25: The general election of Afgana Mohalla Welfare Society (AMWS) will be held on Oct. 26, to elect president, general secretary and treasure and its new executive body for next two years term.
In a press release, Sardar Jagjit Singh, a senior advocate of High Court assigned the job of election commissioner to conduct the election process smoothly. He said he has received three names for president post such as Brij Mohan Dubey, Sarfar Jaswant Singh Dua and Mian Nizeer Ahmed, Subash Kholi filled his nomination for the post of general secretary and Mahesh Kumar for the post of treasure till the close of todays.
Singh said that Mian Nazeer Ahmed has with drawn his name in favor of B.M. Dubey. Now, there are only two candidates in the election fray for presidents posts. Timing to cast the vote to elect their candidate will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. |
