| Coalition working for restoration of lasting peace in J&K: Hakim | | “Peace imperative for development” | |
Srinagar, September 12 – Chairman People’s Democratic Front and Minister for Transport Hakim Mohammad Yasin has said that coalition government is determined to work for lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir adding that the measures already taken in this direction would continue for restoration of peace for overall development and prosperity of the people in the state. Addressing series of well attended public gatherings today at Lassipora and Parsiabad in his home constituency of Khan Sahib, Mr Hakim said that Peoples Democratic Front which is a constituent of the coalition government has decided to continue its support to the government headed by Chief Minister Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad for fulfilling the commitment made under Common Minimum Programme adding that speedy and equitable development of all the regions of the state is at the top agenda of the government. He reiterated government’s resolve to provide responsive and transparent administration to the people. He cautioned the people against the vested interests who are creating hurdles in peace process and said government would fulfill its commitment to restore lasting peace with honour in the state. |
