| A new Herbal unit being set up under REGP at Baramulla | | |
BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 12 – Secretary Khadi and Village Industries Board alongwith Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and zonal organizer, Baramulla inspected the new units being set up under Rural Employment Generation Programme in Baramulla district. A new unit of Herbal products first of its kind in Kashmir division, is being set up at Wadura. The unit will soon start producing herbal hair oil, Herbal shampoo and other allied products with most of the locally available raw material like mustard oil, almond oil, and apricot oil. One such unit is already working successfully in Jammu district. The Secretary KVIB also visited other units being set up under different schemes at Seelo, Sopore and Bandipora.
The efforts are also being made under the scheme for regeneration of traditional industries under shawl, carpet, ari works, etc. by forming Self-Help Groups and Cluster Development for Khadi and Village Industries including Leather, Pottery to synergies the efforts and resources under REGP. |
