| JK Wins by an innings and 131 runs | | | AGENCIES HARYANA, Oct 26: Forcing follow on to Haryana pay early dividends as Jammu Kashmir team defeated Haryana by an innings and 131 runs. JK bowled out Haryana for 163 runs on 3rd day of the 4-day match and registered the historic win at Chaowdary Basilal Stadium, Haryana. Haryana resumed their overnight score on 19 in the North Zone U-22 Cricket. Mudasir dealt the early blow to Haryana in the first over and before the lunch Haryana were on 80 for the loss of five wickets. However, JK had to search for the fifth 6th wicket for long as 55 runs were added on the 6th wickets. Zahoor broke the 6th wicket partnership and with that tail gave in. after tea JK bowlers ripped through the late order and went on to win the second match comprehensively. JK had lost to Punjab in the first test by an innings and 350 runs but in the second test JK bounced back strongly. After their first defeat in the first 4-day match, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association sent Trainer, Mohammad Iqbal, to the team. Iqbal delivered at the right time and save JK team. Under the guidance of Iqbal the JK team also defeated Indian Airlines team in the All India T20 Cricket Tournament which is seen as the major win for the state team. |
