Jat Kalyan Sabha: ‘Aarakshan Doo vote loo’

JAMMU, Oct 26: Members of J&K, Jat Kalyan Sabha (JKS) have decided to vote and support only that party which will concede to its demand for Grant of OBC status.
Addressing a media person here today, the working president of JKS, Ch. Dewan Singh said that Jat community which has been struggling its struggle through peaceful means has decided to support only that party which will keep OBC status for Jat’s at number one in its manifesto and as such has given a slogan ‘Aarakshan Doo Vote Loo’, (first reservation then ask for vote).
He said Sabha members are educating the community to vote only those candidates or parties which will support OBC demand.
In addition to the OBC Status press conference also revolved around other problems of the community; Ch urged the authorities to access the loss caused due to hail storm in Bishnah, R.S Pura and Vijaypur Tehsils. The loss is almost total in Changia, Chanana, Pindicharkan, Pindi Camp, Kadmal, Nandpur, Treva, Kotle Camp, Camp Chak Gouria, Kotli Kazia, Kaku-de-Kothey, Jabomal, Pindi Patwar and other adjoining villages. The people also suffered loss in Hiranagar, Kathua, Khour, Akhnoor, Marh and other villages where community resides. The sufferers of hail storm are very poor and are wholly dependant on land produce for their day to day needs. As such they require immediate attention of the Government.
Prominent members who attended press were Joginder Singh, Girdhari Lal, Som Nath, Bhopinder Bajwa, Bhawan Singh, Ajit, Rashpal, Darshan, Kamal, Om, Dev, Sudershan, Mohd. Azim, Wazir Mohd., Mohinder Singh, Bachan, Anil, Jarnail, Swarn, Karnail and many others.
