| Panther launches poll campaign from ‘Marh’ constituency | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 26: The Panthers Party started poll campaign for the assembly election from Marh constituency which lies on the holy land of great farmer martyr Baba Jitto from today. Addressing a massive rally at Marh, Prof. Bhim Singh Chairman of the party called on the people to oppose, expose and depose the central and Kashmir based parties like NC, Congress and BJP which have been exploiting the people for six decades. Charging NC and Congress for making anti people and anti women laws in J&K, Bhim called on the people to defeat them to save the future of the younger generations. He said the party has chosen Marh for the start of election campaign of the reason that this is the holy place of the martyrdom of Baba Jitto and reminds of the colonial rule of National Conference which has been responsible for destroying the culture, identity and history of Jammu and needs to be defeated. Others who addressed the inaugural rally included Bandi Lal Sharma, Harshdev Singh, P K Ganju, Faqir Nath, Anita Thakur, H C Jalmeria, Gulam Ali and Darhsan Motton. Earlier, addressing media persons here oafter returning from Kashmir, he said especially people especially youth of valley are very enthusiastic about holding of elections. He said, separatist boy-cott of poles has no relevance and asked the leaders join election fray. |
