| Distt Kathua Taekwondo Championship concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Oct 26: District Kathua Taekwondo Championship, organised by District Taekwondo Association under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA), concluded today at Mahajan Hall, here.
Prof Sain Dass, district president of BJP was chief guest in the prize distribution function, who presented medals to the winners of various groups. Atul Pangotra joint secretary and Technical Director of the JKTA was guest of honour.
Over 150 karatekas took part in this championship completing in different weight categories. On the basis of performance, the Association also selected the district team for the 11th J&K Taekwondo Championship to be held next month in Jammu.
Gurinder Rakwal, vice- president of district body was observer in the championship while Sanjeev Jasrotia, Rajat Thakur, Anil Singh, Vikas Dogra, Amit Kumar, Bhanu Partap, Rakesh Sharma acted as technical officials.
Prominent among those present in the concluding function were Ramesh Jasrotia, BaldevRaj Dr. Jugal Kishore and Subash Bawa Ji.
Earlier, the competition was declared open by Rajinder Singh Babbi, former Chairman Municipal Corporation Sharma while general secretary Kathua Association was guest of honour. |
