JAMMU Aug 26: Saying that the traditional games are getting impetus across the country in the wake of India registering new landmarks in medal winning in the Tokyo Olympics, National Conference Provincial President Devender Singh Rana today exuded confidence that this will encourage budding sports to make their mark in chosen games.
Felicitating Rajeshwar Singh of Nadore Panchayat in Nagrota Assembly Constituency for winning Gold Medal in the Wrestling Championship under 77-84 kg Category, organized by The Association for Indian Sports for All (TAFISA) held at Nepal held from August 19 to 21, 2021, Mr Rana said it is yet another feather in the cap of the young wrestler who has made the nation in general and Jammu and Kashmir in particular proud by giving his best in the competition.
Rajeshwar represented India in the championship.
The Provincial President aid Jammu has traversed a long way over the years with its youth making big mark in every sphere of activity—art, sports, academics and culture.
“There is no look back for our young achievers, as sky is the limit for their talent, which they have shown by putting in their best to the sport or activity they have chosen for themselves”, Mr Rana said while hoping Rajeshwar to concentrate on the traditional game alongside academics. Earlier, Rajeshwar also played at National level in Haryana and won gold medal in international events. Rajeshwar Singh gave credit for his success to his coach and the parents. He also expressed his gratitude to Mr Rana for encouraging and supporting him.
