Disability Assessment camp held at SDH Akhnoor

Jammu, Aug 26: As per direction of Directorate Health Services, Jammu and the Chief Medical Officer, Jammu today a Mega disability assesment camp was here at Sub District Hospital Akhnoor. A team of experience specialist doctors observed the beneficiaries in camp and provided them disability certificates to the disabled people who were registered in block Akhnoor. Dr Ashok Kumar , Block Medical Officer, Health and Family Welfare , Sub District Hospital Block Akhnoor while addressing the media said that the aims of government through this such type of camp is to provide opportunity to disabled people to get themselves assess and get disability certificate from government to get various benefits under different government schemes and policies meant for disable people. Total 128 disable people were assessed and provided disability certificates. Meanwhile Ashok Kumar Naib Tehsildar of block Akhnoor also visited and inspected the disability camp. The specialists team which conducted the camp was Dr.Vikrant, Dr. Pankaj, Dr Harsh, Dr Ghanisham, Pharmasist Bhadur Singh and Ramnik Singh. The camp was conducted in collaboration with All J&K Disable Welfare Association. Sushil Sharma President All J&K Disabled Welfare Association welcomed the camp organised by Government and he during the occasion said that government should organise such camps timely so that disable people should avail its proper benefits. Others present during camp are Sham Lal President, Tarsem Lal Vice President, Shamsher Singh General Secretary.
