ADGP Armed decorates KS Rathore with SI ranks

SRINAGAR, Aug 26: Addl. Director General of Police Armed J&K, SJM Gillani and his Staff Officer SSP Mahmood Ahmed decorated Krishan Saroop Rathore of Armed Police Headquarters with Sub-Inspector ranks today. In this context, an impressive piping ceremony was organized at Armed Police Headquarters J&K Srinagar. The event was attended by all the Gazetted and Non-Gazetted officers of Armed Police Headquarters including Mohammad Shafi Rather Dy Director Prosecution, Syed Sajad Hussain Pvt. Secretary to ADGP Armed J&K, Abdul Hamid Dar DySP (Pers.) and Gh. Haider, Insp (Pers) APHQ.
KS Rathore was promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector among others vide APHQ J&K order No.700 of 2021 dated August 23, 2021. It is pertinent to mention here that during the current year Armed Police Headquarters J&K issued promotion orders of its 3273 officers/ officials till date which include promotion of 90 ASIs to the rank of SIs, 151 HCs to the rank of ASIs, 25 SgCts to the rank of HCs & promotion of 3007 Constables to the rank of Sg Constables. Further promotion cases of 563 police personnel of Armed Police including 105 HCs and 457 SgCts have also been processed/ finalized, but their promotion orders shall be issued after they qualify the prescribed pre-promotion course for their promotion to their next rank.
While congratulating Rathore for his promotion to the rank of SI, the ADGP Armed said that the promotion process of eligible officials of J&K Armed Police shall be initiated as and when the vacancies arise in any rank.
He advised the officers and officials to work hard, maintain discipline and always come up to the expectations of people and assured them that their welfare and professional career shall be taken care of by the department on priority.
The ADGP Armed J&K wished best of luck to all the promotees and extended his warm greeting to their families as well.
