DCOE commemorates Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Jammu, Aug 26: The NSS Unit of Dogra College of Education commemorated “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” by performing week-long activities starting from the Flag Hoisting ceremony on Independence Day and ending with Art and Crafts activities. The Programme was organized under the able guidance of NSS programme officer Amarjeet Kour through Google Meet.
Week long Celebrations were observed in which NSS volunteers of Dogra College of Education, participated in activities which included plantation of sapling, patriotic songs, poetry recitations competition, book donation campaign, Rakhi making competition and art & craft activities. All the 68 NSS volunteers participated in the event. In poetry recitation competition, Anamika Pandey of semester second got first prize while Divya Gupta and Minkle Verma were adjudged second and third respectively. In the Rakhi making competition Charu Charak got first prize, Nidhu Kaith and Santosh Kumari were adjudged second and third.. Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal Dogra College of Education encouraged and appreciated the volunteers. Dr. Shefali Sharma, Academic Coordinator also appreciated the talent of volunteers and all those involved in making this event a grand success.
