EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 29: Providing relief to the protesting cricketers, Ist Civil Subordinate Judge, Jammu, M S Parihar in an order issued on October 27 has restrained the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) from announcing the state Ranji Trophy team without adopting the procedure prescribed in the constitution of the Association. The order asked the JKCA, its two selectors for Jammu wing, Nirmal Singh and Vidya Bhaskar to present their point of view before the court by filing the necessary objections in the next hearing fixed for November five. Earlier, the applicants, Ajit Pal Singh, Puneet Kaul, Manish Raghuvanshi, Parveen Singh and Aman Deep Singh alleged that the selection by JKCA selectors have been made violating the constitution of the Association. The petitioners also made other 14 selected probable from Jammu wing as party in the 17-member list. They are Vijay Sharma, Kavaljeet Singh, Ian Dev Singh, Aditya Partap Singh, Anoop Magotra, Raman Dutta, Amit Baloria, Samir Khajuria, Vimarsh Kaw, Ravi Pandita, Sandeep Singh, Pranav Mahajan, Mohsin Iqbal and Arshad. However, the notices have been issued only to the JKCA and its two Jammu wing selectors by the court. |
