PDP, Congress workers join NC in Reasi

REASI, Oct 29: National Conference is committed to equitable development, peace, progress, upliftment of the downtrodden, and well being and of the people of the state, said Jagjeevan Lal, former Minister and senior National Conference leader from Reasi, while addressing to the party workers of the local unit of PDP and Congress who resigned for their respective parties and joined National Conference a day before yesterday in presence of Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Patron National Conference.
"I welcome you all and hail your decision of joining National Conference and am confident that your joining into the party will further strengthen the party and its leadership", he said.
He called upon the new entrants which included PDP's senior Zonal Vice President of Reasi District besides other District and block office bearers of PDP and senior workers of Congress to work unitedly and strengthen the National Conference.
The six years of the coalition rule, he said brought only miseries to the people of the state which is unfortunate. The coalition partners during their rule least bothered about the welfare and wellbeing of the people of the state.
National Conference after coming to power will ensure unprecedented development of Reasi in all spheres and would further ensure that the sufferings and miseries of the people of the area are minimized. He said the party will work towards resolving the issues like unemployment, electricity crisis, water problem etc. and would take the state towards prosperity.
Those who resigned from PDP and joined National Conference included Mohd Ayub Bhatt, Sr. Zonal Vice President Reasi District, Rajesh Sharma, City President Reasi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, Raj Kumar Sharma, Ashwani Khajuiria, Darshana Bhatia, Secretary PDP, Smt. Rajni Kesar, District Vice President Reasi, Daleep Kumar Kapoor, Parveen Kumar Kesar, Balwant Raj and others.
Those who resigned from Congress and joined National Conference included Mohd Aslam, Sr. Congress leader from Reasi, Chowdhary Murad Ali, Dil Mohd Rizvi, Chowdhary Mohd Sharief, Hussain Din, Ghulam Rasool, Mohd Bashir, Mir Hussain, Mohd Latief, Khan Mohd, Haji Mohd Sharief, Mohd Sadiq, Mohd Shafi, Mir Hussain, Gh. Din, Bashir Ahmed, Molvi Shah Mohd, Gh. Nabi, Mohd Ibrahim, Mohd Suleman, Mohd Parvez, Shakil Mohd, Saraj Din and many others.
