Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 31: An emergency meeting of Various Sikh Organizations (VSOs) J&K held under the chairmanship of Mohinder Singh, Chief Organizer Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and Ex-member District Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Jammu.
In the meeting it was discussed that Prime Minister and Union Health Minister were requested that most of the hospitals in J&K periphery are not accepting Ayushman cards for free and cashless treatment. The said matter was taken up with J&K Government and the Chief Organizer Various Sikh Organizations has received communication no SHA/AB-PMJAY/JK/2020-21/6380 dated 21-08-2021 from State Nodal Officer J&K for intimating the name of hospital for not honoring the cards, for which members are thankful to the Govt of India for taking keen interest in the matter.
However, the hospitals, which were named are now asking the patients to come two days in advance before their illness. Association members were surprised to hear and see such a conduct of hospitals. Such a condition of the hospitals to get prior permission is uncalled and members have requested the state govt and the nodal officers to direct the Narayana Hospital, Batra Hospital, Triveni Hospital, Bee Enn Hospital, Medicity and others to provide cashless treatment on Ayushman cards.
Those who participated in the meeting included Darbinder Singh President Shiromani Akali Dal J&K, Rajinder Singh General Secretary Shiromani Akali Dal J&K, Raja Singh Sarpanch member DGPC Jammu, Ravinder Singh Sarpanch & General Secretary Shiromani Akali Dal J&K and others.
