| GCW Kathua girls participate in fitness run | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Aug 31: As part of “Fit India Movement Campaign” launched by PM on August 29, 2019, NCC Cadets of 2 J&K Girls Bn GDC Kathua in collaboration with 2 J&K Girls Bn GCW Kathua participated in “2Km Fitness Run” today.
Fitness Run was started at 12 noon from respective colleges and culminated at Shaheedi Chowk.
The main objective of this fitness campaign was to make fitness an Integral part of our life and to further spread awareness about various physical activities that promote fitness, among NCC cadets, youth of the college and general public.
This fitness run was flagged off by the Principal GDC Kathua, Prof. Assa Ram Sharma in the presence of Senior faculty members Prof. Jaswinder Singh (HOD Physics), Prof Anoop Sharma (HOD, Computer Science) and Dr. J.S. Soodan (HOD Physical Education).
From GCW Kathua, the rally was flagged off by Principal Dr. M.S. Pathania in the presence of other faculty members and ANO Dr. Vaishno Devi. The whole event was organized by Lt. Dr. Rachna Devi ANO 2 J&K Girls Bn GDC Kathua. More than 100 cadets participated in this awareness campaign.
