COVID-19; one death in Kashmir, J&K witnesses surge again

SRINAGAR, Sept 1: One corona patient died in Kashmir, where there was again surge in the COVID-19 positive cases, an official spokesman said Tuesday evening.
He said there was major drop in the positive cases in Jammu.
A total of 166 positive cases were reported in the Union Territory (UT) during the past 24 hours against yesterday's 105.
He said out of new cases Kashmir valley 148 against yesterdays 75. In Jammu the number of positive cases was 18 against yesterdays 30. There was also one death of COVID positive patient in Kashmir, he said.
He said one new confirmed case of mucormycosis has been reported today. With this a total of 45 confirmed cases have been reported in the UT of J&K.
Srinagar recorded the highest 74 positive cases followed by 27 in Baramulla, 21 in Badgam, ten in Bandipora, six in Pulwama, four in Kupwara and two each in Anantnag, Ganderbal and Kulgam.
