| Education department to equip teachers with modern teaching techniques: Manjeet | | | Early Times Reporter Sept 12: “Government is soon going to equip the teachers with modern techniques of teaching and will supply infrastructure to the institutions at senior secondary level”, said Minister of state for education Manjeet Singh. He said this while addressing an “Interactive Session” organized by All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers Forum at Amar Singh Club here today. More than two hundred lecturers, principals and senior officers of the education department, attended the session. Responding to the suggestive proposals of the forum, Manjeet Singh informed that a transparent, vibrant and result oriented approach is being adopted to streamline the system and mitigate the problems of the teaching community. He disclosed that he would personally monitor and gear up all the machinery to ensure the discipline and punctuality. He appreciated the efforts of the forum for organizing such a comprehensive and informative session for the upliftment of the educational standard. Director School Education D K Vaid who was also present in the meet expressed that the efforts of the department for a transparent functioning at every level and to involve every component in the policymaking. H D Qureshi, state president of the forum while speaking on the occasion said that plus 2 component of education is on the path of academic excellence. He also highlighted number of suggestive proposals for the upliftment and improvement in the standards of the education. During the meet, the main focus was on the removal of all sorts of pay anomalies. BOSE was also came under severe criticism in the meet and the intervention of MoS was sought to get rid of the present regime of college teachers. Senior officers of the department who attended the meet include A K Abrol, Principal DIET, C.E.O Jammu H R Dubey, field advisors and joint directors.
