| Employees defer stir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 30: In view of the prevailing political situation in J&K and enforcement of Model Code of Conduct following elections to the state assembly, All J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee (AJKEJAC) has decided to defer its two day Kaam Chhodo Hartal on November 11-12 2008. Addressing media persons today, leader of the Committee Ram Kumar Sharma, Mohammed Gafoor Dhar, Balwan Singh Jamwal, Popinder Singh said that in view of the model code of conduct, the EAJC has postponed its proposed two day Kam Chhoro Hartal on November 11 and 12, 2008. They further said that EJAC has decided to hold a one day joint leadership session on November 14 at Jammu on implementation of Sixth Pay Commission in favour of State employees, formation of policy for regularization of temporary workers and employees, formation of transparent transfer policy, political right to government employees. They appealed to Governor to take up the matters with Election Commissioner of India in view of severe financial constraints of the state employees. |
