| Social activist joins JKNUF | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 30: Rakesh Handoo, a social activist, joined Jammu and Kashmir National United Front (JKNUF) along with his supporters here today. He was welcomed to join the party by A K Dewani, working president. While speaking on the occasion, Dewani highlighted the contribution of Handoo which he has given for the welfare of the Kashmiri Hindu community who migrated to Jammu, Delhi and other places of the country as a result of militancy in the Valley. Rakesh Handoo appreciated efforts of the JKNUF in providing a political platform preliminarily meant for promoting welfare of the Kashmiri migrants, preserving age old culture of Kashmiri Hindus including its heritage. Handoo is a probable candidate for contesting forthcoming elections to J&K State Legislative Assembly from Hazratbal constituency. |
