JAK RIF Regiment is organizing a motorcycle rally to took mark the 220th birthday anniversary of its brave Gen. Zorawar Singh. The rally was flagged off on 26 Aug 2006 from Dehradun and is covering a distance of 2043 kms in 22 days, passing through states of Himachal, Leh , Ladakh, J&K and Punjab respectively.
On 10th Sep,the rally comprising of three Officers, two JCOs and 20 other ranks reached Jammu and were received by JAK RIF Regiment. Today the rally was flagged off by Brig. K Majumdar Commander Sunrise Brigade, in the presence of all officers of the Brigade. Speaking n the occasion Brig. Majumdar praised the efforts of the JAK RIF Regiment and expressed hope that the rally would serve to motivate the people from rural areas of Himacahal, Leh Ladakh and Punjab to volunteer for recruitment in the forces.
