GDC Ramnagar celebrates Fit India Movement 2.0

UDHAMPUR, Sept 11: Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Committee and NSS unit of Govt. Degree College Ramnagar organized a short video making programme related to the topic ‘sahi poshan desh roshan’ on 11th of Sept. 2021. The programme was organized as a part of Fit India Movement 2.0. The programme was initiated under the patronship of Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar and guidance of Prof. Ritika Mahajan, Convenor Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and NSS Programme Officer of the college.
The main objective of the programme was to bring awareness among the masses about the importance of healthy food and how to maintain physical and mental fitness.
NSS volunteers and other students actively participated in the programme by sharing their views on the theme ‘sahi poshan desh roshan’ via short videos. The students who participated in the programme are Ayush, Pritam, Priyanka, Suhani, Sukeerti, Kavita Sharma and Reeta Devi. Participants emphasized mainly on the importance of balanced diet and the improvement of nutritional status of children, pregnant women and lactating mothers. NSS volunteers also uploaded the awareness videos related balanced nutritive food on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagarm for mass awareness.
Principal GDC Ramnagar Dr Udhey Bhanu applauded the efforts of the students and also spoke about the need of balanced and healthy food for overall development of the child.
The entire programme was organized by Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav committee members, Dr Rashmi Gupta, Prof Neetu Sharma, Prof Divya Puri and Mukesh Kumar (Physical Director).
