10/31/2008 10:17:15 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
REASI, Oct 31: National Conference is committed to the development of the state, said Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Vice President J&K National Conference, Jammu province while addressing a public meeting at Reasi here today.
National Conference is concerned about the plight of the people of the state because they have been neglected by the coalition Government during their six year rule, he said adding that after coming to power National Conference will usher a new era of unprecedented development throughout the state.
He said the six years of the coalition rule have totally paralyzed the state administration with their mis-governance and the need of the hour is a stable one party government to steer the state out of the administrative chaos created by the erstwhile Congress-PDP government.
Addressing the gathering Jagjeevan Lal, senior National Conference leader from Reasi said the coalition partners during their rule remained busy looting the state exchequer thereby least bothering about the welfare and well being of the people of the state, which is unfortunate.
The coalition partners, he said failed to deliver on the promises which they made to the people of the state and slogans which they raised.
National Conference never made false commitment or raised hollow slogans like other parties and always stood by it word. He said National Conference after coming to power will ensure unparallel development in the history of Reasi in all spheres and would further ensure that the sufferings and miseries of the people of the area are minimized. He said the party will work towards resolving the issues like unemployment, electricity crisis, water problem etc. and would take the state towards prosperity.
He urged the people to strengthen the National Conference and its leadership during the ensuing assembly elections.
