Commuters suffering due to traffic mess on Talab Tillo road: Rajan

JAMMU, Sept 13: Sarv Shakti Sena, J&K unit president and social activist, Rajan Gupta raised serious concern towards the problem being faced by the people due to massive traffic jam mainly at Link Road between Talab Tillo and Bakshi Nagar Pulli.
Addressing media persons here today, Rajan Gupta said that it is a matter of daily routine that Talab Tillo road witnessed massive traffic jam due to standstill of traffic at the aforesaid link road near Bee Enn Hospital, Talab Tillo.Gupta said that frequent traffic jams signify failure of authorities to streamline the system.
He said that the traffic jams have increased in the city because a large number of traffic cops are unable to regulate congested roads.
He mentioned that due to ongoing work of flyover at Akhnoor Road there is total disturbance in the traffic and several diversions are created for smooth flow of traffic.
Rajan said that due to mismanagement people are suffering badly as the officers sitting at the helm of affairs is not showing serious concern towards the problems being faced by the general public as well as traders.
He appealed to the Deputy Commissioner Jammu as well as SSP Traffic Jammu to intervene in the matter and gave adequate directions by allowing only one-way traffic, vehicles from Talab Tillo side should not be allowed on this stretch while the vehicles coming from city area should be diverted through Canal Road for the smooth flow of traffic. Others who were present in the press conference included Ravi Kumar, Rohit Gupta, Paramjeet Singh and Vishno Kumar.
