| Reen is new chairman FOI | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 31: A meeting of the Federation of Industries, Jammu was held under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Dogra, chief patron of Federation of Industries, Jammu at ASSI Bhawan, Gangyal wherein Annil Suri, chairman Federation of Industries handed over the charge of chairmanship of Federation of Industries Jammu to S. Tajwant Singh Reen for the period October-2008 to September-2009. As per a press release, Suri gave a brief account of the activities of Federation of Industries during the period 2007-2008. Rakesh Bhat took the charge of secretary general, Federation of Industries. Suri assured the new chairman of FOI that full support will be extended to the new team of FOI. The new chairman in his address to the gathering told that with the support of all office bearers and constituents of Federation of Industries all the issues of the industrial sector pending with the Government of India and State government will be taken up vigorously and no stone will be left unturned to solve the problems being faced by industry in J&K. He laid particular emphasis on the problem of power and urged upon the government to give regular power for 24 hours a day so that industrial units which are suffering due to shortage and poor quality power should not to face the problems on this issue and the losses being suffered by them are curtailed. Moreover, he added its only the industrial sector which is maing the regular payments of their dues to the government for power supply, the release added. |
