| Raina for latest sheep rearing techniques | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 31: Director Sheep Husbandry Dr. H S Raina has stressed upon the staff to further catalyze their efforts for ameliorating the socio economic conditions of the sheep and goat rearing communities by providing them timely veterinary aid and breeding facilities at their door steps.
While inspecting a sheep breeding farm at Balnoi in Poonch, the Director advised the departmental functionaries to keep up the maintenance in such a way that these government farms produce quality germ plasm with high genetic potential and serve as a role model for the farmers for care and management of their livestock.
He also took stock of the functioning of sheep extension centres at Manjakote, Dhargloon, Mendhar, Gagrian, Chamber, Saiklan and Sathara. He emphasized upon the staff to work with zeal and dedication and maintain close liaison with the sheep and goat rearers for redressal of their grievances besides educating them about the latest technical know how for better returns. |
