| Ajaz flags of tour of Doda orchardists | | |

Minister of State for Agriculture and Horticulture, flagged off two buses carrying 50 orchardists of Doda district for study tour of the neighboring states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh under Horticulture Technology Mission Programme from Batote.
The Minister addressed the orchardists be3fore their departure. He briefed the orchardists about the aim and objective of this study tour and advised them to have interaction with scientists and progressive fruit growers in these states for adoption of latest scientific technology for development of Horticulture in district Doda. This will help them to adopt the scientific methods in the orchards on their return from the tour and ultimately result in boosting the fruit cultivation in the region. He finally desired that all the fruit growers who have been sent on study tour and are being deputed should meet other farmers on their return and apprise them about the technologies being adopted in the neighboring states for Horticulture Development.
M.S Qasba, Director Horticulture, Jammu received the farmers at Jammu and other them to take maximum benefit from this study tour. He asked them to interact with the scientists, Progressive farmers of these neighboring states so that on return, they can boost their fruit production and improve their socio economics status.
