| Reasi Police recovers heroin, other banned substance during search operations | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 15: During surprise nakas and search operations Reasi Police recovered Heroine, Poppy straw, illicit liquor, money proceeds of drugs trade and arrested two drug peddlers.
A team of Police check Post Balini during checking noticed suspicious movement of one person who was coming from Reasi towards Katra, was chased and stopped for checking. Sensing suspicion about drug peddling Executive Magistrate was called on the spot. During checking in the presence of Executive Magistrate 43.5 grams of heroine like substance having illegal market sale price of more than 2.5 lacs to drug consumers.
Drugs money Rs. 43,500 as proceeds of illegal sale of narcotics recovered from the possession of Pawan Singh @Pammi S/O Vakil Singh R/O Sherwud Katra. Case FIR no 203/2021 under section 8, 21, 22 NDPS Act stands registered Police Station Katra and the accused arrested & investigation set in to unearth forward and backward linkages with other drug suppliers & consumers.
In another incident of drug peddling team of Police Station Reasi laid a surprise naka at IRP Chowk Reasi and during surprise checking one tempo bearing registration number JK02AS 7616 driven by one Taj Mohammad S/O Mohammad Rafiq R/O Pouni coming from Pouni to Reasi was intercepted and during checking recovered poppy straw and 13 bottles of XXX Rum 750 ml each from the possession of the driver of the vehicle. On this FIR no. 179/2021 US 8, 15 NDPS Act and 48 a Excise act is registered in Police Station Reasi, accused arrested, Vehicle seized & further investigation started to arrest the other accused in the chain. |
