| Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas observed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Oct 31: On the occasion of Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas, Education Department, organized a symposium on the Topic “New and Renewable Energy System and Devices” in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School for boys here today.
Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, S.K. Kapoor was the chief guest on the occasion while Chief Education Officer, R.K. Gandotra, Principals of various government schools and other staff were also present.
Students from Government Degree College, Kathua and other Government as well as private schools participated in the symposium and highlighted the need to use renewable sources of energy instead of non- renewable source as it causes pollution which leads to certain health hazards.
Under the senior group category, Lokesh Bhagat of Jagriti Niketan Senior Secondary School stood first while the 2nd position was shared by Manjot Kaur of Little Angel Senior Secondary school and Anshul Bali of Government Higher Secondary School Girls. The third position was secured by Akash of Higher Secondary School Boys.
Similarly, under junior group, Anshul of Spring Dales School bagged first position while the 2nd position was clinched by Diksha Shardhalia of Shiva Public High School. The third position was secured by Kiran Deep Kaur of Shishu Model High School, Kathua. The chief guest gave away mementoes to the winners and consolation prizes to all the participants. |
