KVK Doda starts training programme on INM for agricultural input dealers

DODA, Sept 15: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Doda, SKUAST Jammu started 15 days training programme on Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) for agricultural input dealers at Bhaderwah today. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr JP Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST Jammu and was organized by the team of scientists of KVK Doda under the leadership of Dr SK Gupta, Director Extension SKUAST Jammu. Trainees from district Doda and Kishtwar joined the programme.
The programme started with welcome address by Dr Narinder Paul, Scientist KVK Doda. Dr AS Charak, Senior Scientist and Head KVK Doda briefed the participants about the content and outline of 15 days programme schedule and highlighted the importance of the programme for the fertilizer dealers. Amjad Hussain Malik, Saffron Development Officer, hailed the SKUAST Jammu for organizing the programme at KVK which he added will benefit not only the input dealers but also the farmers of the twin districts.
During the first day of the programme Dr Narinder Paul delivered the lecture on essential nutrients and their role in plant nutrition. Dr AS Charak deliberated and demonstrated the collection of soil sample for its testing. Various queries of the participants were also answered by the organizers. Technical session ended with the vote of thanks by Dr GN Jha, Scientist KVK Doda.
