| Mayor JMC reviews progress on developmental works | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 15: Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu along with Anil Kumar Masoom councilor of ward 10 today conducted an extensive tour of parade ground & its adjoining areas and took stock of the ongoing overall development, renovation & other allied works at parade ground Jammu.
S. Harvinder Singh Executive Engineer, Raj Kumar Khajuria Assistant engineer, Neeraj Verma junior engineer and other supervisory staff of engineering Division I as well as Des Rattan Dubey and other prominent citizens of the area and various sports persons were present there during the tour of the mayor. Mayor went around the whole complex and took serious note of the progress of the ongoing development activities. He observed that the work is going on at a very slow pace which is causing great hardships for the locals, senior citizens, morning/evening walkers as well as children who come at parade ground for taking part in sports of different categories on routine basis.
Speaking on the occasion, mayor told that this prestigious project of remodeling & renovation of parade ground is being executed under "MY TOWN MY PRIDE" and an amount of Rs 90.00 lacs has already been sanctioned by the Government. Mayor issued strict instructions to the concerned engineers accompanied with him to keep thorough vigil and personally monitor the ongoing development activities in and around the parade ground as well as sort out the vital issue of construction/renovation work of deep drain on the main road. |
