| Route setters course for climbers in December | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 30: In in collaboration with Himalayan Adventure Institute, Mussoorie (Uttarakhand), the North Zone Sport Climbing Committee, New Delhi shall be conducting a `Route Setters Course’ in Sport Climbing at Mussoorie from December 17 to December 20.
Conducted for the first time by Committee, the course is exclusively for climbers belonging to North Zone comprising states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh.
The four-day course has been planned and designed by the zonal committee under the expert guidance of national route setters, keeping in view the requirement of North Zone states. Candidates, who qualify the course, shall become eligible for a national route setters course to be organized in near future.

Registration fee for the couse is Rs 300 only and the candidate shall be provided free boarding and lodging during the course.
The candidates applying for the course should have good exposure in natural and artificial climbing and should have also participated in at least one national sport climbing competition. Besides, they should also be able to understand and write English. |
