GDC Marh organizes Online National Webinar on NEP-2020

JAMMU, Sep 18: The IQAC Cell of Government Degree College, Marh has organized an online National Webinar on NEP-2020, under the patronship of Principal Prof Aekta Gupta. The resource person of the event was Dr D L Chahal, Assistant Professor, School of Education, CU, Haryana. The webinar started with the welcome address by Prof Ashu Jolly, HOD, Department of Education, organizing Secretary of the webinar.
Principal of the College, Prof Aekta Gupta, in her keynote address, said that New Education Policy(NEP) aims to transform India into a vibrant knowledge society and global knowledge super power by making both school and college education more holistic, flexible, multidisciplinary, suited to 21st century needs and aimed at bringing out the unique capabilities of each student. She appreciated the efforts of IQAC Committee for organizing such informative webinar for staff and students.
Staff and Students from different colleges, viz, GDC Kathua, GDC Samba, GDC Udhampur, GCOE, GDC, Bhagwati Nagar, GDC Qazigund, GDC Pulwama, Punjab, Haryana, in and outside the UT of J&K, enthusiastically participated in the webinar.
Resource Person, Dr DL Chahal, in his address, spoke in detail about the background of New Education Policy and how there will be no rigid separation between academic streams, extra-curricular vocational streams in schools. The programme was coordinated by all the members of IQAC committee. Formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Shakun Sharma, HOD, Sociology. The technical support was provided by Prof Shallu Gupta, HOD, Computer Application and Prof Anjana Chib HOD, Environmental Sciences.
