| Rajpal Mastana elected president Punjabi Sahit Sangam | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER
JAMMU | SEPT 12
A meeting of J&K Punjabi Sahit Sqangam was held under the Chairmanship of its president S.Hardyal Singh Rehbar, here today.
In the meeting Rehbar submitted his resignation and dissolved the Committee and requested the house to elect new President of the Sangam either unanimously or by mode of election. According to press release later on with one voice the name of Rajpal Singh Mastana for the post of President was proposed by Rehbar and seconded by Ichhupal Singh and K.K.Shakir respectively, as none of the member of the Sangam come in the fray and Mastana was elected as President unanimously. The house authorized Mastana to unanimously.
The house authorized Mastana to nominate other office bearers.
Mastana assured the house that he will work hard for the cause of Punjabi Language and Literature in the state. The prominent members who participated in the meeting includes Bhupinder Singh Bhargav, Des Raj Danish,Deepak Arsi, K.K. Shakir and Ichhupal Singh etc
