Agriculture Department distributes Maize Threshers at Doda, Assar

DODA, Sept 18: Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Doda today distributed Maize Threshers under CAPEX budget, here at District HQ Doda and Block Assar. The programme was organised under the guidance of Chief Agriculture Officer Anil Gupta and overall supervision of the Director Agriculture.
DDC Ghat, Gulshan Ara, DDC Bhagwah Jaya Rani, DDC Assar Rekha Devi, BDC Chairman Khaleni Munish Kumar and BDC Chairman Ghat Sharifa Begum graced the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the CAO gave a brief regarding the aims and objectives of the programme. He also assured that the department will full-fill all the genuine demands raised on the occasion.
BDC Chairman Khaleni, while speaking on the occasion raised the demand for opening of seed stores in different Panchayats, while DDC Bhagwah Jaya Rani called for holding more awareness programmes in her constituency.
The CAO, while responding to demands, gave on the spot directions for launching a sustained awareness campaign in the area and assured to fulfil all other demands raised by the different speakers.
District Agriculture Officer, Haroon Hussain presented the welcome address and also conducted the proceedings of the programme.
District SMS, Dr Ajay Sharma, SDAO Pranoo Kuldeep Bhasan, Sarpanch Ganika Ranjeet Singh Ex. Sarpanch Riaz Ahmed also spoke on the occasion.
At the end Maize Threshers were handed over to the Sarpanchs present on the occasion.
