| Affectionate sendoff to Dr Sudan on retirement | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 1: Dr HS Soodan, city's renowned Skin and V. D. specialist and Associate Professor in Dept. of Dermatology at Govt. Medical College Jammu retired after putting in 22 years of service here yesterday.
Dr Soodans simple yet warm send-off ceremony was marked by an emotional farewell from colleagues which included the Medical College Principal DR. Rajinder Singh along with the staff of the medical and his department.
Dr Soodan had attended most of the National and regional conferences in and outside the state. His colleagues appreciated his work and stated that he is really a great human being and also a great professional.
Dr Soodan who retired as Assosciate Professor in Dept. of Dermatology at Govt. Medical College Jammu had served the state for more than 22 years in various capacities. In 1977 he got his first govt job and had been appointed in Chest diseases hospital Jammu. From 1977-1984 he had served as surgeon in different hospitals of Jammu. After getting MD in Dermatology from Govt College Patiala in June, 1985 he joined as Registrar in Govt Medical College Jammu, and had been given 22 years to the Govt Medical college Jammu. Dr Sharma plans to commit himself to the cause of poor patients now. |
