‘Implement Samiti agreement’
11/1/2008 10:25:35 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 1: Jammu Business Coordination committee and Distributors Association has expressed serious concern over non fulfillment of the agreement by the Government with SAYSS with regard to compensations for the losses suffered by various sections of the society including the traders in the wake of two month long strike over Amarnath Shrine land row.
In a statement issued here today chairman of the committee Kulbushan Mohtra said that the two months deadline fixed for finalization of compensation cases have lapsed but the authorities have failed to meet the deadline.
Apprehending that the political government that comes into being after the election may wriggle out of the commitment made by the Governor’s administration, Mohtra has demanded that Governor should convene a meeting of all the parties where unanimous resolution should be adopted requesting Election Commission of India to condone from election code of conduct the disbursement of compensation against the losses suffered by the business community.
