| Kundal waiting for his ticket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 1: His fate hangs in the balance. Despite the fact that he sacrificed a lucrative chair for entering into the congress he is yet to get the mandate. This is the story of former Chief secretary, B.R.Kundal.Though the party high command is said to have cleared his name, he is yet to receive the intimation. What is important for Kundal is the constituency that was being allotted to him In the absence of this Kundal cannot start the pre-poll campaign. If he wishes to start it where shall he do it ?In R.S.Pora or Samba.Kundal, according to sources close to him, is prepared to contest from any constituency but he needs to be informed so that he begins interacting with people.Informed sources said that the delay in allotting the seat is the result of a row that has been initiated by Suman Bhagat who has staked claim for contesting the R.S.Pora seat from where she got elected twice. These sources said that Ms Bhagat is so much insistent on getting the congress mandate that she has threatened to contest as an independent candidate in case sher was not given the ticket. Senior congress functionaries in Delhi were trying to find a way so that in case Kundal was to be given the mandate from R.S.Pora Bhagat could be later given a lucrative post. |
