| National Sanitation Program: DC Rajouri finalises arrangements for month-long activities | | |  Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Sept 24: District Administration Rajouri is going to organise a series of activities as a part of the month-long Nation Sanitation Program commencing from October 01.
For the smooth and successful conduct of the activities in the district, the District Development Commissioner, Rajesh K Shavan today chaired a meeting with the concerned officers to discuss and finalize the arrangements in this regard.
The meeting was apprised that a series of activities would be carried out in the district at Panchayat, block and district levels which include mass sanitation drives at all the water bodies.
Mega awareness drive would be launched in which the public will be made aware of the benefits of cleanliness and sanitation on health and environment and all departments and PRIs, Lok Mitra shall play their roles in making the program a grand success.
The Chief Planning Officer has been directed to devise a suitable action plan in this regard.
Later, the DDC also reviewed the disbursement of scholarship provided to the students under the ST, SC, OBC and JKBOCW schemes of the Government and directed the concerned to ensure that no eligible student is left out in the process.
Regarding the reopening of the Anganwadi centres in the district, PO ICDS was directed to submit the feasibility report.
Regarding the shifting of the destitute to the shelter home, the DC asked the concerned to identify all such individuals and shift them within two days in the Mother and Child Hospital which is designated as a shelter home for them.
