| GDC Darhal celebrates NSS Day | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Sept 24: NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College Darhal celebrated NSS Day with full fervour and gaiety. Volunteers recited patriotic songs and slogans besides presenting a cultural programme on the occasion. Dr. Ather Aziz Raina in his motivational speech gave a detail of the activities performed by the NSS Unit in the last one year. He said that the volunteers were quite active even during COVID pandemic times in performing various assignments such as awareness regarding COVID-19. He said that they also acted as Young Warriors during these tough times and were quite active for providing vital information to the general masses regarding precautionary measures to be taken to avoid the Corona Virus Disease. He said that celebration of all National Days and events is the hall mark of NSS Unit of GDC Darhal. Principal of the college Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia congratulated the NSS Volunteers of the college for celebrating NSS Day. He threw light on the significance of the day which marks the beginning of National Service Scheme in India. He said that the number of Volunteers has increased multiple times since the start of this scheme because of the attraction of youth towards this particular National Service Scheme. |
