Farmers awaiting fertilizers

JAMMU, Nov 2: BJP activist and member state working committee member Onkar Seth has demanded supply of fertilizers and seeds to the farmers without further delay.
After visiting border areas of Arnia-Allah and Treva in Bishnah and R S Pura sector, Seth said that standing paddy and other kharif crops have been damaged due to recent hailstorm and gusty winds. He said the farmers are clamouring for relief of the losses but the government has yet to act in the matter. He said their miseries have been compounded in absence of seeds and fertilizers.
The BJP leader has impressed upon the authorities to provide compensation to the farmers and also ensure supply of fertilizers and seeds without any further delay.
