Jammu, Sept 25: Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu, under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India organized a Mega Fit India Freedom Run coordination with District administration on 25th September 2021 at R.S. Pura, Jammu in which about 100 participants from Youth clubs and Mahilla mandals ex volunteers and volunteers of District Jammu participated. It was organized on the occasion and in the remembrance of Birth Anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Hans Raj, Sarpanch was the Chief Guest of the Programme and administered the Pledge to the participants and flagged off Mega Fit India Freedom Run from R.S. Pura to Suchetgarh. Among others -Shri Ajay Motton Retd. J&K, Amreek Veer Chakar, Naresh Kumar- National Youth Volunteer and Vishal Sharma- National Youth Volunteer-from R.S. Pura block and Joginder Kumar-NYV and Harpreet Kaur-NYV of Block Suchetgarh were the main organizers of the event. The total coverage of the Run was 8 km from R.S. Pura to Suchetgarh and was organized to induce & encourage people to take up fitness activities such as running and sports in their daily life. A pledge for maintaining a healthy lifestyle was also taken up by the participants wherein it was resolved that everybody should be committed towards a health conscious society. |
