Mettalled road to every habitation is our target: Juhi

UDHAMPUR, Sept 27: Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur, Juhi Manhas Pathania today reiterated the commitment of the government for providing metalled road to every habitation. Addressing a public meeting at Panchayat Ghar Samna Banj, she added that after successful completion of ‘Har Ghar ko Bijli, achievable progress on ‘Har Ghar ko Jal’ and ‘Har Makaan Pakka’, the next step is to provide road connectivity to every habitation. She also inaugurated the work on Mariala to Rajundi road in village Garh Samna Banj, which shall provide road connectivity to the unconnected habitations. She called upon the executing agency/contractors to strictly adhere to timeline and quality standards. She further asked for immediately repair of Sanote to Garh Samna Banj, Kamtala to Babey, Banjian to Nokain , Nakki to Omara, Larey to Sumal PMGSY roads within the defect liability period. While deliberating upon the health sector, she called for opening a health institution for the four panchayats Babey, Garh Samna Banj, Mottu and Chore Panjian with a population of about 15,000 people. She further called for setting up a case for PHC at Garh Samna Banj. Juhi said that this is a separate belt of villages jacketed by Bani, Billawar, Ramnagar tehsils and there is a need to facilitate the reach of the departments to these areas. She further called form adequate infrastructure and staff at GHS Mottu and GHS Babey and Higher secondary school Garh Samna Banj.
She further underscored the need for mobile connectivity at Mottu, Ressain, Nokain and S.K Ber to improve the services in these areas. While taking stock of working of RDD, she called for immediate clearance of liabilities and cancellation of all the attachments as progress on developmental works has been impaired.
She was accompanied by Shiv Ram, Makhan Lal, RK Verma, Baldev Chand, local Sarpanches Soma Devi, Surinder Singh, Nisha Devi, Ashok Singh, Raj Kumar, Bhagat Ram and other prominent people of the area.
