NC poised to form government: Sadhotra

JAMMU, Nov 2: There is a strong wave in favour of National Conference and it is all certain that National Conference shall form the government with Dr. Farooq Abdullah as the Chief Minister, said Ajay Sadhotra, Provincial President J&K National Conference, Jammu province while addressing a largely attended public meeting at Gajansoo here today. He said the people of the state had a bitter experience of the six years of the coalition government rule led by Congress-PDP and moreover, people feel that BJP is also exploiting the common people in the name of religion and region. He said National Conference is committed to uplift the poor and down trodden and the priority sector for National Conference is to address the issue of unemployment. He informed that till the youth does not get employment the party has decided to give stipend after coming to power.
NC leader asked the people to beware of all such forces who are trying to exploit the people in the name of religion and region. He said National Conference is a party which represents all sections of the society and shall ensure when it comes to power that every section of the society irrespective of caste, creed and colour gets its due share. He said National Conference shall strive hard for giving OBC status to the Jats and Jogies.
In the meeting a large number of workers of BJP and Congress resigned and joined National Conference.
Those who joined the party on the occasion included Ch. Rajinder Singh, Raman Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Sukhnandan Sharma, Ganesh Dutt,Behari Lal Verma, Som Dutt, Madan Lal, Balbir, Krishan Lal, Ram Singh, Mohinder Singh, Paraya Singh, Chowdhary Rakha Singh, NAsib Singh, Capt. Pyar Singh, Chowdhary Swarn Singh, Chowdhary Bishamber Singh, Darshan Singh, Bansi Lal, Prem Singh, Chowdhary Karan Singh, Chowdhary Parveen Singh, Chowdhary Bhagwan Singh, Pt. Bodh Raj, Numberdar, Capt. Joginder Pal Bhagat and others.
