A lot has happened first time in J&K: Rekha

JAMMU, Sept 28: The people of Jammu and Kashmir, have, for the first time, got a lot in many matters, which will go into the chapters of the history of this erstwhile state and now Union Territory, as a game changer.
Rekha Mahajan, Secretary, J&K BJP, stated this, while claiming that during the seven years rule of BJP under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Jammu and Kashmir, has achieved the distinction of being the most cared State/UT in matters related to development, air, road and rail connectivity, power generation, establishment of prestigious health and educational institutions, development of water bodies etc.
"Many things have happened for the first time during Prime Ministership of Narendra Modi, which include grant of citizenship rights to the West Pakistan refugees, grant of reservation to Economically Weaker Sections, residents of International Border, Pahari Speaking People and Scheduled Tribes", Rekha said and added that there are dozens of such examples which are new and first for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Rekha Mahajan said that the programmes and policies of Narendra Modi government for J&K themselves speak that every region and section of the society stands covered in the schemes of Narendra Modi government, with the commom objective of socio economic upliftment and development to meet the new challenges and overcome obstacles in the path to peace, progress and prosperity.
Rekha said that Jammu and Kashmir had to wait for decades to feel and see the real essence of democracy, development and public welfare, without preferring or neglecting one region or the other.
She said that a glance at the splendid work done during the seven years by Narendra Modi government for Jammu and Kashmir, would leave no one in any doubt that this period has been the golden era for our erstwhile state and now UT.
